I always wonder how cars like this turn up. I can understand high end cars being taken care of by people with money but run of the mill DDs? I guess there are those people who remember the depression and who cherish their car even when they have long stopped driving it. Those are some big assumptions - made mostly by looking the condition, floor mats and steering wheel cover. I wonder if there are some hard candy wrappers stuck in the ash tray?

I've seen Festivas and Metros taken care of like this. Oh! And a Colorado. It surprises me regardless of what the car is.

I’d swap in an overdrive transmission, some decent heads, and a good intake, and carb. The stock valve covers and air cleaner would stay. A little more oomph while appearing stock. I’d keep the stock components I took off as well.
If those are 15 inch wheels a disk setup would be hidden nicely up front as well.
